So, we hear McCain and Rubio saying we are not like the Russians, We are not Putin.
Now, I am not saying we are like Russia. I am just questioning who do they mean when they say “We”. Are they referring to our Government, are they referring to the Republican Party, or are they referring to themselves individually?
They both have given yet again, great examples of word games they play, and we seem to accept without question.
Let me ask a question or two, in an attempt to put this in proper perspective.
1. Are they elected officials? Answer is, Yes they are.
2. Who elected them? Answer is, The people of the state/s they represent.
3. Who do they have the right and authority to speak for. Answer is, The people of the State/s that elected them and themselves.
That is right they have no right or authority to speak for all people, their party, or worse yet, Our Government. This is true regardless of whether they are right or wrong.
When ever statements are made by any elected official that can be deemed to represent any outside the people of the State they represent, or themselves, it is, plainly put, an Abuse of Authority.
Yet, you/we allow it to go on all the time, because we have been
led to believe that once they are elected that they represent all of us. Here is where it gets interesting. They want us to believe this, right up to the point of getting Federal Government money.
Then all of a sudden you hear them saying I represent the people of the great State of ‘—-‘, not all the states. Funny how they will suddenly start speaking the truth correctly when it means getting money for the State they actually represent.
These two elected officials are a perfect example of why I started the petition calling for a “Civilian Oversight Committee”. We the people of this country/nation, must start holding these elected officials to the higher standard they are meant to represent. That standard includes speaking correctly when addressing Our country/nation.
